I'm Going to Quit PlayStation Network Trophy Hunting After Getting the 55th Platinum Trophy

  Hello...

  So I already said this and I posted this on one of my Instagram’s posts a long time ago on October 13 2025.

  On PlayStation Network, on “Trophy Hunting,” once I reach my 55th Platinum Trophy, I’m going to quit trophy hunting...

Here’s why:
1. I’m tired of doing it.

2. Its becoming a chore for me.

3. Its becoming repetitive for me hunting for trophies only over and over again and again.

4. When I see a miss-able trophy or when the trophy glitches, I get stressed out and worried missing a certain trophy. Its kind of annoying when the trophy is miss-able or it glitches. So strange that I get stressed and worried over playing videogames. Seriously...? I lose my mind.

5. Some trophies are online multiplayer only to get them which are frustrated when I'm playing a multiplayer that I'm not into! I find it very annoying to get those online multiplayer trophies! 

6. I feel like its becoming a competition. A competition for what? To have the most trophies and Platinum trophies? This is not some eSports or a gaming competition. To me it matters if I’m playing for fun as a hobby.

7. There are times where I want to comeback and replay a game I really really like such as Unicorn Overlord, Nier: Automata, Code Vein, etc… Don’t I ever want to play it again just like in the past years when I was a kid to a teenager? To go back to the good old days of gaming for fun. I had a lot of fun doing that.

8. What happen to playing videogames as a hobby for fun than hunting for trophies only? Don’t I ever want to play videogames for fun as a hobby? What happen to those years of myself having fun playing videogames as a hobby? 

9. I really really want to write fanfiction and other literature stuff which I never get the chance and I’m missing out a lot! I want to focus on my writing projects. And its a creative hobby that I wanted to do. Its not fair that I never get the chance, I really want to write to show my creativity, my stories and my talent.

  Those are the main reasons why I want to quit trophy hunting after I reach the 55th Platinum trophy.

  Right now I’m at 54 Platinum Trophies. 

  Holy smokes that's a lot of Platinum Trophies!

  I just need 1 more Platinum Trophy and its all over…!

  The last Platinum Trophy I want to get is probably Scarlet Nexus (PlayStation 4), since its challenging the trophies and grinding. It was marked as Ultra Rare the Platinum Trophy.

  Or Samurai Maiden (PlayStation 5). Hmm maybe? I don’t know? Maybe it looks easy to Platinum. Its Ultra Rare and some players got the Platinum Trophy.

  Code Vein 2 (PS5) maybe? I really like the game so much, but its easy grinding to get the Platinum. Its a rare Platinum Trophy to get which a lot of players got it. 

  Bunny Park (PS4), no its too easy! A lot of players got the Platinum Trophy.

  Sakura Nova (PS4 / PS5), automatically no! Too easy! 

  It might be Scarlet Nexus for sure. Or maybe Samurai Maiden, or Code Vein 2.
  I want a trophy that is really challenging to get such as Scarlet Nexus…

  I’ll make that decision in the end…

  Wow I remember trophy hunting for the first time when I first got a PlayStation 3...
  It was fun, interesting and challenging to get tons of trophies, especially the Platinum Trophies. 

  My 1st Platinum Trophy was Hitman Blood Money (PS3) and I was really proud of getting the Platinum Trophy since I always play that game 24/7 when I was a teenager. I’m so good at this game and its one of my top favorite games of all times. 

  Next 2nd Platinum Trophy was Prototype 2 (PS3). I was so happy to get 2 Platinum Trophies, and I was first one in my old friends’ group to have 2 Platinum Trophies. 

  3rd Platinum Trophy was Killzone (PS3). I was happy to get my 3th Platinum Trophy during a bad memory when I got a computer virus called the RCMP ransomware computer virus on my old laptop which traumatized me a lot which I thought it was real that I’m going to jail for doing nothing wrong. 

  It turns out the RCMP computer virus was completely fake! Its just scammers that want to steal money which is ransomware. The police wouldn't do that, they just be knocking at your door. 

  So I just attempt to get the Platinum Trophy to stay calm and relax knowing that its not real, its just a ransomware computer virus. 

  And I finally did get the 3rd Platinum Trophy. 

  That RCMP ransomware computer virus was such a bad  traumatizing memory!

  Then I continue to play and get more Platinum Trophies in other games that I like!

  Now I reach up to 54 Platinum Trophies, wow what a record for me! That’s a lot of Platinum Trophies! Holy shoot!

  I should be happy that I got a lot of Platinum Trophies that I have accomplished from challenging games, impossible games, games that I like, and games that are easy to get the Platinum. 

  The ones that I recently Platinum were: SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom  – Rehydrated (PS4), Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Ultimate (PS5), Crysis 2 Remastered (PS4),  Death end re;Quest (PS4), Gravity Rush 2 (PS4), and ANNO: Mutationem (PS5).

  Just one more left...!

  It really sucks that things don’t last forever... And then we move on... There’s always an end...

  I’m tired, exhausted and a little frustrated... 

  I needed to quit trophy hunting...

  I’m really going to miss trophy hunting on PlayStation Network… It was so fun back in the good old days...

  I hope to get the last 55th Platinum Trophy… Whatever that game I choose to Platinum is… 

  Right now I’m just playing Code Vein 2 for fun, because I’m so into the series and I like the game so much too. Such awesome gameplay, awesome customization, great characters, interesting story, nice setting and locations, and good music soundtrack.

  I’ll play Scarlet Nexus after I beat Code Vein 2’s story… 

  I put Scarlet Nexus and the trophy hunting on hold...

  That is all…

  I’m almost near the end of reaching the last 55th Platinum Trophy...
